Hon'ble Prime Minister's Message

Words of inspiration guiding the 12th International Day of Yoga

Shri Narendra Modi

Hon'ble Prime Minister

Government of India

Yoga is an invaluable gift from our ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action - a holistic approach that is valuable to our health and well-being. It's not just excercise; Yoga is a way to discover a profound sense of oneness with yourself, the world and nature.

Sri Suvendu Adhikari

Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal

I appeal to all citizens to join the celebrations of International Day of Yoga 2026 and participate enthusiastically in the various activities being organized across the country.

This year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing” (स्वस्थ आयु के लिए योग), highlights the importance of yoga in helping people lead healthier, more active, and fulfilling lives at every age.

Let us come together with our families, friends, and communities to embrace yoga as a way of life and contribute to a healthier and happier nation. (Vande Yoga)!

Shri Suvendu Adhikari
